Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, New York offers plenty of quiet back roads suitable for cycling. You can interrupt your tour with visit to one of the many wineries or historic sites throughout the state.

If you want to visit New York City, the best time is in early May during the Five Boro Bike Tour when more than 25,000 cyclists take over the streets. See Bicycling in New York City for details about cycling in the Big Apple.
