Road Bicycling

The USA has some terrific destinations for bicycle touring whether for one day or a week or more. Much of its wide open spaces are crisscrossed by a grid of roads and, in some cases, bike trails. However, roads in some areas may be too busy and lack paved shoulders to make for pleasant cycling.

If you want to cycle across the US, there are a couple of commercial tour companies that offer a cross-country tour.
