Almost all events listed here are non-profit and are open to all cyclists. For officially-sanctioned racing events, check the cycling organizations such as NORBA and US Cycling.

Cross country mountain bike event, 6 mile course, 700 ft elevation gain, multiple laps above beginner class, $17 + NORBA license (2006)
Early May Inland Empire Century, Richland, WA
Choice of 25, 50, 75, 100 mile routes through the wine country of Eastern Washington, along the Columbia River and then up into the Horse Heaven Hills to Prosser and on to Grandview. Return along Old Inland Empire Road, hosted by Tri-City Bicycle Club, $20/$25 (2005)
Mid June Kluane Chilkat International Bike Relay Haines Junction, Yukon
Team relay or solo race of 8 legs totalling 148 miles (238 km) from Haines Junction, Yukon, to Haines, Alaska, attracts more than 200 teams
Early July Tour De Lopez, Lopez Island, WA
Choice of 10 and 26 mile routes around the island, a sunset dinner cruise, dance and Sunday morning Lion's Club Pancake Breakfast, organized by the Lopez Island Chamber of Commerce, $20/$25 including lunch (2005)
Early July Seattle - Portland Double Century
Hosted by the Cascade Bike Club
Early July RAMROD, Enumclaw
154 mile ride around Mt Rainier with 10,000 feet of climb, maximum of 800 riders, hosted by the Redmond Cycling Club, $80 (2008)
Mid July Tour des Chutes Bend, OR
Choice of 7, 25, 48, 70, or 90 mile loops through ranch lands and foothills of the Cascades, post-ride party, burrito bar lunch, $45/$55 (2009) in support of cancer survivors

Seven-day, fully-supported 475-mile tour. Includes campsites, showers, breakfast & dinners, road & mechanical support, water & food stops, gear transport, beverages & snacks at end of day. Entry fees: $675 (2004)

Early Aug Providence Bridge Pedal, Portland, OR
Ride 5 to 37 miles and cross up to 11 bridges over the Willamette River, proceeds will assist Providence Heart and Vascular Institute, $20-$40 (2008)
Early Aug Oregon Bicycle Ride, OR

Mid August Ride Around Washington WA
Seven-day ride, up to 95 miles per day, hosted by the Cascade Bike Club, sells out early, $910 (2009) includes camping and meals
Mid August Vine Ride, Newberg, OR
35/50/65/100 mile road tour Benefits Northwest Medical Teams International. Entry fee: $42 (2009)
Late August Tour de Fat Bicycle Festival, Boise, ID
Rides at 9am and 11am, musical entertainment and beer @ 12pm. No pre-registration in necessary, event is free. Beer sales benefit Southwest Idaho Mountain Biking Association for trails and advocacy in and around Boise.
Mid Sept Cycle Oregon Oregon
A 425 mile cycle tour across Oregon in 7 days, $750 includes camping and meals
Mid Sept Oregon Coast Muti-day Tour, Forest Grove
Week-long tour of 60-100 miles per day, hosted by the Redmond Cycling Club (2008)
Mid Sept Dylan Dean Generosity Run & Ride, Wallace, Idaho 14/62 miles
