Area name: Mattatuck Trail
Times hiked: Several
Date last hiked: July, 2002
Trails hiked: Mattatuck, tunxis, appilaichian
Favourite trails: Mattatuck
Best time to go: early spring and mid fall
Trail marking: Fair
Trail maintenance: Fair
Rating: 4 stars
What I liked: easy to find trail heads, good diversity of terrian,
What I disliked: crosses roads too often, swamped out in some locations
Comments: Actual trail head is in wolcott at Peterson Park, this section from wolcott to thomaston is worth it, if for no other reason than seeing Buttermilk Falls in Plymouth. there is a small swamp crossing that may be messy if it has rained recently.
