Trail Name: White Memorial Foundation
I have hiked there: Several times
I last hiked there in: July, 2004
Trails that I hiked: Several. White has MANY great trails. The white and blue are the longer ones but use old carraige roads for the most parts. Green, yellow and orange trails are woods paths. The system has a very safe feel to it if hiking alone. Dogs on leasees welcome.
Favorite trails: Yellow and green trails generally go through rocks and around ponds. All trails are very well kept and even when there are a lot of people on the trails the system is big enough you don't see many.
Best time to go: Any time of year, they take on a different look with each season
Trail marking: Very good
Trail maintenance: Very good
Rating: 5 stars
What I liked: Trails are well maintained, easy to follow and there is a great variety. Many of the trails loop and you can cover a number of trails and wind up back where you parked.
What I disliked: This is a great trail system, there is nothing not to like
Additional comments: It would be well worth stopping at the museum to get a map as there are a number of places to enter the trails. Main entrance (at the museum) is not necessarily the best.
