Hiking Trails in Wisconsin

A short section of the North Country National Scenic Trail nips across the northern tip of the state. A 60-mile segment of trail through the Chequamegon National Forest, called the North Country Trail, predates the NCNST.

Another long-distance trail through Wisconsin is the 1,000-mile Ice Age Trail so called because of the glaciation that occured in the region during that period. Many short and several long segments of the trail are complete.
