Trails: 90 miles of the Appalachian Trail wends its way from north to south through the Berkshire Mountains. The AT passes over several state lands: Mount Everett State Forest, East Mountain SF, Beartown SF, October Mountain SF, Mount Greylock State Reservation and Clarksburg SF. The trail crosses many roads where you can drop off a bike or a second car for your return journey. The Mass section of the AT is maintained by the Berkshire chapter of the Appalachian Mountain Club.
