Bartholomew's Cobble

Trails: 6 miles of trails on and around 500 million year-old rock outcroppings, known locally as cobbles. The rocks are a National Natural Landmark and there is a natural history museum.
Access fee: $4 adult, free for Trustees of Reservations members (2003)
Nearest town: Ashley Falls, MA

Points of interest: Marble and quartzite outcrops, 240 species of birds. In early spring wildflowers such as purple trillium and Dutchman's breeches blanket the area.
Other activities: Programs are offered such as canoeing, tracking, snow shoeing, natural history tours, workshops and slide shows.
