Trail Name: Baxter State Park I have hiked there: Several I last hiked there in: Oct, 2003 Trails that I hiked: Roaring Brook, Chimney Pond, Dudley, Knife Edge, Cathedral, Saddle Favorite trails: Dudley Best time to go: Summer, it's cool up there, and in the fall it's very cold. Trail marking: Very good Trail maintenance: Very good Rating: 4 stars What I liked: The scenery was amazing, the trails were very well marked. What I disliked: There was nothing I disliked about the trails. Comments: If taking children, the best route to Baxter Peak is the Saddle Trail. It was very windy on knife edge and I reccomend not taking children under 14 on that trail. Submitted by: SLL from: Millinocket, Maine Date submitted: Dec 17, 2003
