Trails: Appalchian Trail crosses the seven summits of the Bigelow Range, including the highest peak of 4,150 feet. Together with three alternate trails to the summits there are about 20 miles of trails. The 36,000 acre preserve is managed by the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands.
