Bald Peak - Sue's way- North Ridge trail
The views from Shawnee peak also great
Best time to go: Easiest in Summer, A great winter hike
Trail marking: Fair
Trail maintenance: Very good
Rating: 4 stars
What I liked: Pleasant Mt. is one of the best bangs for the buck. You have great views for a relatively short hike. The best views are on the McKay pasture trail and the Ledges trail. View from the top outstanding
What I disliked: Bald Peak trail including Sue's way-North Ridge not always well marked. It is possible to get off the trail.
Additional comments: Take two cars. Leave one at the North Peak trailhead and the other in Denamrk at the McKay pasture trailhead and walk across the massif. It's a great hike.

Trails hiked: Blue Trail
Favourite trails:
Best time to go: Spring
Trail marking: Poor
Trail maintenance: Poor
Rating: 4 stars
What I liked: The trails can be difficult to comprehend from the surroundings, but if you know the geography of the mountain, you can get to where you want to go without any problems.
What I disliked: The base of the mountain was far worse than anything on the hike, there was too much timber and water.
Comments: Overall I think Pleasant Mountain is a very good mountain in Western Maine. On a clear day looking west from Lewiston-Auburn, Pleasant Mountain is one of the most visible terrains in the western horizon (Besides Mt. Washington). Anyone who wants a quick workout, this is the perfect place.

Trails hiked: Fire Wardens trail to the summit.
Favourite trails:
Best time to go: Spring or Fall
Trail marking: Poor
Trail maintenance: Fair
Rating: 2 stars
What I liked: The layout of the trail was wide and easy to manuever on.
What I disliked: The ascent was a bit steeper than we had expected. The hiking book that we were referring to called it moderate and it was ever bit of that! We at times were concerned about being on the right trail as the trails were poorly marked.
