Trails: Manistee River Trail 12 miles hiking trail runs along the Manistee River south of Manilla.
Check the hunting schedule before hiking in the fall.

Submitted comments: Sometimes mistaken for the North Country Trail which is on the other (west) side of the river and has little water and no scenery. You can loop back back to your car on the NCT.
Surface: Lots of gravel, some mud, some sand, some roots
Difficulty rating: some intermediate sections, lots of easy
Trail description: Excellent views the full length of the trail. Waterfalls and streams with plenty of good cold water.
