Visitor comment: The park has a lot of wonderful trails and park drives you can take. From the trail center parking area you can head off to many different trails. I like to head towards the Ironwood trail it's about a mile from the trail center and once on the trail you hike up a large hill and follow the trail through the woods they have some of the largest Ironwoods i've ever seen, on a hike through there this winter I seen close to 20 deer on the trail. Hallaway hill is another great hike, once at the top it overlooks Lake Lida and the park it's a beautiful view. It's best in the fall when the colors are at their peak -- great picture opportunities. Overall this is my favorite park they have swimming, good fishing, camping, and kid friendly trails. I took my 6 yr. old and my 3 yr. old for a 2 mile hike down an interpretive trail and they learned about glaciers, they loved it.
