Hiking the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway Trail

Trails: The Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway Trail is a 75-mile loop in central NH encompassing Lake Sunapee in the west and Mount Kearsarge to the east. The trail passes through four state parks, three state forests, and 10 towns, travels along forest trails, dirt & paved roads, up & down mountains including Mount Sunapee and Ragged Mountain. On Mount Sunapee the SRKG joins the other greenway, the Monadnock Sunapee Greenway, for a few miles.
Access fee: No charge, but purchasing a $10 membership (2007) helps support the trail. An entry pass is required at most state parks, but not for hiking at Mt Sunapee.
Nearest town: New London, Wilmot, Danbury, Andover, Sutton, Newbury, Goshen, Sunapee, Croydon, Springfield, NH

Lodging: Inns and other accommodations in several towns along the trail
Camping: No camping permitted along the trail, much of the trail is on private property. Mount Sunapee State Park has a campground.
