Hiking Bromley Mountain

Trails: Bromley Mountain (elev. 3,260 feet) is a four-season resort with a chairlift (see their website for operating schedule). The Appalachian/Long Trail traverses the summit along its west and north flanks. It's a 5.4 mile out-and-back hike along the AT/LT from Highway 11/30 to the summit. It is probably also possible to hike up the ski trails from the resort.

Points of interest: Adventure park has summer activities such as water slides, zip lines and trampolines. Panoramic views of the Green Mountains from the viewing platform at the summit.

Camping: Hapgood Pond NF Campground in Peru has 28 sites. Emerald Lake State Park, north of Manchester, has 67 tent sites and 37 lean-tos

Getting to the trail: Bromley Resort is about 6 miles east of Manchester, Vermont, on Route 11. The AT/LT trailhead is approximately 4.3 miles east of Highway 7 on Highway 11/30, 1/2 mile west of the junction with Highway 30.
