Trails: Lake Dunmore Area has several hiking trsils, including one to Mt Moosalamoo (elev 2,659 feet) and the Oak Ridge Trail from Mt Moosalamoo north to Highway 125. Some of the trails are in Branbury State Park, the rest in Moosalamoo Natioanl Recreation Area. A couple of the trails can be combined to make a loop over Mount Moosalamoo. Oak Ridge is a linear trail, about 8 miles each way.

Lodging: Several inns and other accommodations are in the Middlebury - Ripton - Goshen area.
Camping: Branbury State Park has 40 sites and seven lean-tos. A National Forest campground at Silver Lake has 15 sites. Backcountry camping is permitted almost anywhere in the National Forest (see their website for restrictions).

Getting to the trail: There are three accesses to the trails along Highway 53 (Lake Dunmore Road) about 10 miles southeast of Middlebury, including one at Branbury State Park (entry fee). Also one trailhead at Silver Lake NF campground (no charge) on Forest Road 24 off Goshen/Ripton Road and on a Forest Road further north. The north end of the Oak Ridge Trail is on Highway 125, a few miles east of Middlebury.
