Hiking Trails at Hazen's Notch Conservation Center

Trails: There are about 15 miles of trails on 2,000 acres of private conservation land. Located within a few miles of Hazen's Notch pass, the network of trails cross overgrown farmland, skirt ponds and lead 2 miles to the top of Burnt Mountain (2,700 feet). The center's trails do not connect with the Long Trail which follows the higher peaks of Haystack and Belvidere.
Access fee: None, but contributions to the trail fund are appreciated.

Points of interest: Beaver pond, bird watching and a panoramic view from the top of Burnt Mountain.
Other activities: Guided nature walks, school programs, summer camp, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing
Lodging: Hazen's Notch B&B has three rooms. Several inns and B&Bs are located in Montgomery Center.
Camping: No camping permitted. A commercial campground is situated a few miles away.
