Planning your next outdoor adventure trip? Use the A1 Trail Guide help you find lodging located near non-motorized outdoor activities such as biking, hiking and cross-country skiing.

Lodging with easy access to outdoor activities are divided into several categories:

  • Backcountry cabins, huts and lodges - accessible only by foot, ski, boat or aircraft, these accommodations are generally fairly rustic (no electricity or running water). Huts have bunkhouse-style sleeping accommodations that may be shared by more than one group. Rates are usually per person.
  • Hostels - low-budget accommodations generally with bunkhouse-style dormitories. Prices listed for hostels affiliated with Hostelling International are for HI members. Rates are per person. Non-members will be charged an extra $3 to $4. Linen and blankets usually cost extra.
  • Lodges, ranches and resorts - offering private rooms and modern amenities. Listed rates are the approximate cost of a double room with no meals, unless indicated MAP (Modified American Plan, breakfast and dinner included).

Rates listed on this site are only approximate and do not include taxes. Check with the establishment for the latest rates.
