Massachusetts has about 100 state parks, forests and reservations and the Cape Cod National Seashore. In addition, there are more than 90 public lands operated by the non-profit organization Trustees of Reservations. Passes are required to enter most state parks. About a third of Massachusetts's state parks and forests have campgrounds. National Parks in MassachusettsCape Cod National Seashore has 40 miles of beaches and sand dunes, nature trails and interpretation programs, but there are no campgrounds. Day or annual passes are required to enter national parks.
