Trails that I rode: Single tracks don't have names, actually, I don't believe any of the the dirt trails (that allow biking) have names.
Best time to go: spring through fall
Trail marking: Poor
Trail maintenance: Very good
Rating: 4 stars
Likes and dislikes: very relaxing. depending on the time of year, the scenery is very nice. lots of good "exploring", but not very technical. obstacles vary with the seasons (some nice small logs too). not very challenging though.
Favourite trails: 1. Loop beginning on the Park side behind the bathrooms (river side of Park). Approx: 2.5 miles but can be incoporated into the paths across the river.
2. Betzwood Bride area trails: starts off gravel and branches off on right hand side(several places) to many optional trails. Can sqeak in about 10-15 miles depending on your route.
Comments: Cons: the crunchies will remove logs from trails... somehow they skip out on the trail maintenance though. On the no-bike trails: watch out for horses. If caught by park rangers, you can get a fine. Bad to ride after storms, can get flooded in parts. No maps.
The single tracks don't have any maps or markings, but they are very obvious trails. Good for a quick ride or longer. Many trails that aren't obvious at first.
I grew up near this place, so, actually, you could spend a whole day riding there...you just kinda have to find where all the trails are. Majority are near the river, but some are interspersed throughout the park.
enjoyable morning ride.
