Trail name: Wabash Trace Nature Trail Times biking the trail: Weekly Date of last visit: July, 2005 Sections that I biked: I have biked the entire trail but mostly the south end of the trail from Shenandoah to Malvern. It is less traveled and very quite riding and the terrain is challenging enough. My favourite sections of the trail: all of it Best time to go: all year round Trail marking: Fair Trail maintenance: Very good Rating: 5 stars What I liked: Its just great! come try it out What I disliked: I would like to see some sort of mile markings in case some one needs to call for emergency and better mapping would not hurt Comments: 3 or 4 miles south of Malvern is a little washed out part for about a half a mile and there is one bridge that is only wide enough for 1 bike. There is also an red recliner abandoned in this area on the west side of the trail. Submitted by: TK from: Shenandoah Date submitted: July 18, 2005

Trail name: Wabash Trace Trail Times biking the trail: Several Date of last visit: July, 2004 Sections that I biked: Council Bluffs to south of Silver City My favourite sections of the trail: All of it Best time to go: Sept-Oct Trail marking: Very good Trail maintenance: Very good Rating: 5 stars What I liked: Scenery is great and varied, wildlife, the crushed limestone surface is well-maintained, lots of shaded sections. What I disliked: Certain times of the year there are a lot of bugs but if you ride fast enough they're not a problem. Comments: Stop by the Minneola Steak house. A great trip is from Council Bluffs to Minneola, stop for lunch there, and head back. Submitted by: TH from: Underwood, IA Date submitted: Aug 8, 2004
