Trail description: When completed the Coastal Trail network in Northeastern Massachusetts will be a 30-mile trail network linking four towns. Some sections of the trail are currently open. Check the CTC website for the latest status. The southern end of the trail will connect with the Border-to-Boston Trail.
Access fee: No charge, but membership in the CTC helps support development of the trail

Getting to the trail: Newburyport is about 40 miles north of Boston. Take Route 95 north to Exit 57 at Newburyport. An MBTA commuter train runs from Boston's North Station to Newburyport. Bikes are permitted on board except during rush periods.
