Trail name: Grand Haven-Holland Trails
Times biking the trail: Once
Date of last visit: August, 2004
Sections that I biked: from Holland to Grand Haven
My favourite sections of the trail: in Grand Haven, along the lake
Best time to go: the temps were perfect this summer in August
Trail marking: Very good
Trail maintenance: Very good
Rating: 2 stars
What I liked: the fact that there was a paved trail
What I disliked: It was very windy and hilly and bumpy. Most road bikes ended up riding on the roads. It was very disappointing to only get one view of the lake on the way and not be able to ride along it until Grand Haven
Comments: We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Holland and it was very nice!! Indoor and outdoor spa just for adults and refrigerators in the rooms

Best time to go: I have two. Spring and Autumn
Trail marking: Very good
Trail maintenance: Very good
Rating: 4.5 stars
What I liked: I loved the layout because it is not boring like some trails that are just flat. There is a mix of suburbs, forest and the Mighty Lake Michigan.
What I disliked: I do not have anything that I disliked about the trail.
Comments: If you have not experienced this trail yet, you are missing out on one of the nicest trails I've been on.

Trail name: Grand Haven-Holland Trails
Times biking the trail: Once
Date of last visit: July, 2003
Sections that I biked: Spring Lake
My favourite sections of the trail: Most of it
Best time to go:
Trail marking: Poor
Trail maintenance: Very good
Rating: 2 stars
What I liked: Scenery
What I disliked: Very poor (no directions) when trail ended, then picked up after getting on the busy street of 108th and across the bridge.
Comments: We would run out of trail on the Spring Lake trail, then go on and eventually discover the trail picked up down the road, over the bridge, but at first we had no clue where to go to get on the trail. We need many more signs directing us...to help us first find the trails, then explanation of where to pick it up later once it stopps.
