Trail name: Kiwanis Trail Times biking the trail: Once Date of last visit: August, 2003 Sections that I biked: Gady to Sutton; and Gady to Occidental My favourite sections of the trail: I love what I've seen so far. Today (8/31/03 was my first time riding it. I just "discovered" it by happy accident. I didn't even know how far it went in either direction. I actually live near Ives road which is it's Tecumseh (Raisin Twp.) terminus, so tomorrow I plan to ride it to the Adrian terminus and back again. I can't wait to walk with my husband and our dog down this trail too! Best time to go: Trail marking: Very good Trail maintenance: Very good Rating: 4 stars What I liked: If you live nearby, even Monroe, Toledo, Ann Arbor, Jackson or the Irish Hills area I say come take a look. It's not too "challenging" if you are looking for difficulty, but it is wonderfully paved and a great workout! What I disliked: Nothing so far Comments: Submitted by: Charlotte from: Tecumseh, MI Date submitted: Aug 31, 2003

Trail name: Kiwanis Trail I have used the trail: Weekly Date of my last visit: Oct, 2002 Best time to go: All times of the year Sections covered: I have walked the entire length of the trail. Favorite sections: My favorite section is the 1-1/2 mile stretch from Cadmus Rd. to M-52. There are a lot of nice wooded areas and is the only section I've seen deer. Activities I have done on the trail: Walking Trail marking: Very good Trail maintenance: Very good Rating: 2 stars What I liked: It's a nice, easy walk. The scenery varies from wooded ridges and valleys to fields of crops. It crosses several roads, which makes short "section hikes" easy. What I disliked: It IS a multi-use trail, which means a slower moving hiker/walker will sometimes be startled by bicyclists and joggers. (On the other hand, faster moving joggers and bikers have to contend with slow moving walkers.) Additional comments: There are no real hazards, per se, other than the usual precautions that one must take when crossing a busy road. Submitted by: Mary from: Adrian, MI Date submitted: Nov 21, 2002
