Trail description: The recently completed Central Lakes Trail extends 55 miles from Fergus Falls east to Osakis where it connects to the Lake Wobegon Trail.

Points of interest: Lakes, beaches, wildlife viewing. The Kensington Rune Stone near Alexandria is claimed to have been engraved by Viking explorers in 1362.
Lodging: There are many resorts near the trail. Alexandria has several hotels and other accommodations (see the chamber website).
Camping: Several campgrounds are located along the trail
Bike shops: Bike rentals and repairs are available at the Bike and Fitness Company in Alexandria

Getting to the trail: Osakis is about 100 miles northwest of Minneapolis. Take I-94 to Exit 114 and go 3 miles north to Osakis. Parking lots are located at Fergus Falls, Alexandria and Osakis.
