Trail description: The Paul Bunyan Trail is a 110-mile multi-use between Brainerd and Bemidji, of which 70 miles are paved between Baxter and Walker. The northern part of the trail was not yet upgraded at the time of this writing (2005) and may not be passable. The Heartland Trail intersects the PBT near Walkley and shares the same pathway for several miles.

Sections of the trail that I covered: We just found out about it & tried it out by going about 6 miles north. We will be back to go agin!!!

Favourite sections: It is beautiful the whole route & there are lots of places to stop & check out the scenery.
Comments: We were biking but I hope to rollerblade on it soon. Walker has a lot of interesting shops to visit, and Cass Lake has some unique places to see too.
