Trail description: The Batt to Bear Trail is a 56-mile multi-use trail from Battery Park in Manhattan to Bear Mountain State Park. The trail follows Hudson River Greenway along the west side of Manhattan then crosses George Washington Bridge and wends its way north along the west bank of the Hudson River.
Access fee: None required, but purchasing a membership will contribute to the development of the trail
Towns along the trail: New York City, Englewood (NJ), Piermont, Nyack, Haverstraw, NY

Trail surface: Natural surface is only suitable for walking or mountain biking except for a gravel section between Upper Nyack and Haverstraw

Facilities on the trail: Washrooms and restaurants are located at Piermont, Nyack, Haverstraw, and Bear Mountain
Points of interest: The trail passes through Palisades Interstate Park which comprises several NY and NJ parks including Fort Lee Historic Park.
Lodging: Bear Mountain Inn has 45 rooms and suites in a historic lodge and stone cottages. Hotels in Englewood, Nyack and Haverstraw.
Camping: Harriman State Park has a campground
