Trail name: Minnewaska State Park
Times biking the trail: Once
Date of last visit: Apr, 1999
Sections that I biked: Trails around the main lake, Up to Castle View Point and around the second lake ( I don't remember the name)
My favourite sections of the trail: Up the hill towards Castle View Point.... The view is magnificent.... You can observe hawks early in the morning.
Best time to go: Any time with no ice or to much heat... It could get dangerous... Paths are close to cliffs... VERY CLOSE...
Trail marking: Very good
Trail maintenance: Very good
Rating: 5 stars
Likes and dislikes: The View, the peace and if you go early and take the hard route, you can find yourself with no people around.
Comments: If you like kayaking too, the lakes are perfect for it.. no motoroats are allowed.
The park is free, but no the PARKING... $5 fee per car. Parking is difficult, more if you go late (around midday).
