Trail name: Mohawk-Hudson Bikeway Times biking the trail: Several Date of last visit: Nov, 2003 Sections that I biked: Entire Length from Corning Preserve to Rotterdam Junction My favourite sections of the trail: Cohoes to trail head in Niskayuna. Best time to go: Anytime, but early spring you can see river better Trail marking: Very good Trail maintenance: Very good Rating: 4 stars What I liked: Like the variety in both scenery (both rivers), and terrain (some steep climbs and wooded areas) What I disliked: Trail markings when you temporarily leave the trail in Scotia and return again in Schenectady are awful. First time I spent 30 minutes trying to find it and then gave it. The trail actually continues behind Schenectady County Community College. Comments: You can take two routes once you have reached Schenectady border - either cross over into Scotia and then re-cross, or stay in the city limits and pick the trail at SCCC. If you stay in the city, there are some run down neighborhoods, but there is also the lovely and historic stockage neighborhood, where you can stop at various restaurants Submitted by: CMM from: Albany NY Date submitted: Feb 25, 2004
