Sections that I biked: I have traveled the whole trail from center city York to the southern terminus in Ashland, MD. 42mi. total.
My favourite sections of the trail: The favorite 2 sections:1) York to Sevenvallys through the 300ft Howard tunnel, 2) New Freedom south to Parkton Md.most rural.
Best time to go:
Trail marking: Very good
Trail maintenance: Very good
Rating: 4.5 stars
What I liked: Rural scenery, many bridges and streams, light traffic, parking areas every few miles.
What I disliked: Heavy use on summer weekends.
Comments: Full services available in New Freedom, Pa. Excellent bike shop, food and parking.
