Trail description: The Chippewa River State Trail is a 30-mile multi-use trail linking Eau Clair and Eau Claire and Durand. It connects to the southern end of the Red Cedar Trail to Eau Claire.
Access fee: State Trail Pass is required for bicyclists and skaters
Towns along the trail: Meridean, Caryville, Eau Claire (pop 57,000)

What I disliked: parts are gravel but its a nice trail

Best time to go: spring and fall

What I liked: scenery along the river, good surface, nice combination of open and shaded
What I disliked: can be crowded at the eastern, close to Eau Claire, lots of skaters
