Trail name: Oak Leaf Trail
Times biking the trail: Weekly
Date of last visit: June, 2005
Sections that I biked: Whitefish bay (Estabrook park) to South Shore/Bay View.
My favourite sections of the trail: Hubbard park (Cambridge Woods) to Riverside park section.
Best time to go: Late Spring to mid Autumn
Trail marking: Fair
Trail maintenance: Very good
Rating: 4.5 stars
What I liked: You won't even feel as though you were in the city on much of the downtown trail, very pretty.
What I disliked: City street riding from downtown Veterans Park to Cupertino/South Shore.
Comments: Various off road trails hidden amongst the woods throughout East Milwaukee along the Milwaukee river. My favorite being beetween Cambridge Woods and Riverside Park. All will pretty much take you right down to the river bank, very pretty. Somewhat of a challenge in places but still fairly easy for the majority. Mountain bike is a must, otherwise excellent for hiking.
