Trail description: 19.5-mile rail trail is named after a bald eagle that was a mascot of the Wisconsin Regiment during the Civil War. The trail connects two state parks: Lake Wissota State Park, east of Chippewa Falls, and Brunet Island State Park.
Access fee: State Trail Pass is required for bicyclists, skaters and horseback riders

What I liked: spectacular wildflowers, Chippewa River is beautiful, peaceful surroundings, not crowded, not too many skaters

What I liked: not to many people on trail and very smooth
What I disliked:
Comments: We stayed at a great B&B on lake wissota (pleasant view B&B) you can bike right to the trail (4 blocks) Great supper club on the lake. They will pick you up by pontoon and boat you over to have dinner than drive you back to the B&B it was great!!!
