Trail description: 23-mile multi-use trail from New Glarus to Brodhead, a region called America's "Little Switzerland" because of its Swiss heritage. Most of the route of the trail is through dairy pastures. The trail forms a link in the Ice Age National Scenic Trail.
Access fee: State Trail Pass is required for bicyclists

Getting to the trail: New Glarus trailhead is one block north of Hwy 39 on Railroad St. Brodhead trailhead is one block west of Hwy 11 on Exchange St.

What I liked: New Glarus is a great place to visit and the trail is very nice. The ride from New Glarus to Monticello is very scenic and highly recommended.
What I disliked: It is very well maintained at the New Glarus end but the Brodhead section isn't as nice.
Comments: Stop in New Glarus for lunch or dinner - the Glarner Stube is great!

What I liked: Very nice scenery. Smooth grade and no steep hills.
What I disliked: Nothing
Comments: Very nice small towns. Great food in New Glarus. The trail is easy to ride. You can camp in a state park in New Glarus if desired. We stayed in a motel.
