Trail description: The Wild Rivers State Trail is a 104-mile multi-use trail from Rice Lake north to Superior. Access fee: Towns along the trail: Rice Lake, Spooner, Minong, Gordon, Solon Springs, Superior, WI Web site:Wisconsin State Trails Trail map: Available on the DNR website Trail surface: Crushed stone, except for the section in Douglas county which is railway ballast Designated activities: Bicycling, walking, horseback riding, ATVing, snowmobiling, xc skiing Facilities on the trail: Points of interest: Pioneer Village Museum south of Rice Lake has 36 buildings. Spooner has a scenic train ride and a railroad musuem. Lodging: Rice Lake, Spooner and Solon springs have a few choices of accommodations.
