Wisconsin has about 60 state parks and recreation areas, 26 state trails, 10 state forests, a national park and two national forests. Day or annual passes are required to enter most state parks and forests. State trail passes are required for bicycling, horseback riding and cross-countryy skiing on certain state-operated trails.
