Trails: Mammoth Lakes Nordic Trails are a municipal trail network groomed for cross-country skiing with the assistance of Mammoth Nordic. Unfortunately, according to their webite Mammoth Nordic had suspended grooming of trails in January 2009. Check their website for the latest updates. Some trails are groomed in the nearby Inyo National Forest and at Tamarack Cross Country Ski Center.

Location of trails: The town of Mammoth Lakes is about 260 miles east of San Francisco, roughly midway between Yosemite and King's Canyon National Parks. The nordic trails are on the south side of town. The Mammoth-Yosemite Airport is several miles west of town. Check the road conditions at CalTrans before leaving.
