California Sno-Park Permit
A valid Sno-Park permit must be displayed in the windshield of vehicles parked in designated Sno-Park areas throughout California from November 1 through May 30. Vehicles without a permit run the risk of receiving a fine of at least $75.
More than 20 Sno-Parks have trails for winter activities such as cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Revenue from the sale of Sno-Park permits covers the cost of clearing the parking lots and providing toilet facilities.
A seasonal Sno-Park permit costs about $25 (2008 rates). A one-day permit is $5. For current prices check the official Sno-Parks website. Permits can be purchased at many retail outlets, by mail and on the Sno-Parks website.
See the official California Sno-Parks website for more information.
