Trails: Ashcroft Ski Touring grooms 35 km (23 miles) of trails for cross-country skiing, including some for skating. The Pinehouse Cookhouse, accessed by a 2.4 km (1.5-mile) ski or a sleigh ride, serves gourmet lunches and dinners (reservation required). The center is at an elevation of 9,500 feet so the snow season generally lasts from about Thanksgiving until early April.

Location of trails: Ashcroft Ski Touring center is about 11 miles south of Aspen at the ghost town of Ashcroft. From the roundabout on the wesr side of Aspen take Castle Creek Road south for 11 miles to the center.
