Trails: Grand Mesa Nordic groom 54 km (32 miles) of trails by snowcat for cross-country skiing (skate and classic). The trails are in three different areas: Mesa Lakes Resort, Skyway Nordic Center/County Line and Ward Lake. High elevations enable the ski season to extend from November to April in most years.

Location of trails: Grand Mesa is is about 250 miles west of Denver. Check the road conditions before driving. Take Exit 49 off I-70 and go south on Highway 65 to Mesa Lakes (26 miles) or six other trailheads located up to 10 miles farther south.

What I liked: Really nice layout, something for everybody from racer to rec. skier, you can bring your dogs too on some trails.
What I disliked: Ererything is very nice.
Comments: No hazards, maybe a really long trail with an overnight rustic loghut or so would add a lot!
