Trails: Howelsen Hill Nordic Center grooms 21 km (13 miles) of trails for cross-country skiing. The center is owned by the city of Steamboat Springs and operated with the assistance of the Steamboat Springs Nordic Council. The majority of the trails are rated intermediate but there are also some easy and some challenging trails. Howlsen Hill is the oldest ski area still in use in Colorado.
