Trails: Lake Catamount Touring Center's 38 km of trails are groomed for cross-country skiing. The center is owned by a private resort but operated by the Steamboat Springs Nordic Council so the trails are open to the public. Half the trails are rated easy, 30% intermediate and 20% challenging. LCTC is the site of the annual Steamboat Ski Marathon in February.

Location of trails: Lake Catamount Touring Center is about 5 miles south of Steamboat Springs. Take Highway 131 south about 4.5 miles to Lake Catamount Road (RCR 18). Follow Lake Catamount Road for just over a mile to the second entrance to Water's Edge Trail. Park in the parking lot and walk to the nordic center on the lakeshore.
