Trails: There are three ski area in the Sawtooth Valley around Stanley: Alturas Lake, Park Creek and Stanley City Park. Alturas Lake and Park Creek each have 16 km (10 miles) of trails groomed for cross-country skiing (skate and classic). Stanley City Park has 2 km. The Sawtooth Ski Club maintains the trails and hosts the annual Sawtooth Ski Festival.
