Trails: 17 km (10 miles) of trails are groomed for cross-country skiing plus there are also some backcountry trails. The park is a wintering ground for the trumpeter swan and was once known as the Railroad Ranch, a private retreat of the wealthy Harriman and the Guggenheim families.
