Trails: At the Fourth of July Pass Park N' Ski area 20 km (12 miles) of trails are groomed for cross-country skiing. The trails are mostly rated More Difficult and Easier, except for a few more challenging sections. The Panhandle Nordic Club maintains the trails.

Location of trails: The Fourth of July Pass trailhead is about 14 miles east of Coeur D'Alene on I-90. Take Exit 28 and go a few hundred yards south of the highway to a junction, bear right and continue a few hundred yards to the parking lot. Check the Idaho road conditions before driving.

What I liked: not groomed as often as it should.
What I disliked: the long entrance, it would be nice if there were more options earlier
Comments: Couer d'Alene is close and it has a nice resort area.
