Comments: The real nice x-country skiing is at the Kickapoo Creek State conservation area 1/2 way between Alta and Dunlap along the trail. This area is to the L.H. side of the marked Rock Island trails, and has about 1/2 worth of skiing . Trails wind across the wooded prarie with both pine, and wooded trees.
