What I liked: Scenery is wonderful, sunny and wooded, hills and valleys. Trails are quiet, wide, with both skate and classic options - easy to negotiate. Wide range of difficulty levels.
What I disliked: Occasional holes in snow, where there had been some flooding (minor).
Comments: Sunday River Inn is right on the same property and is a wonderful family destination with a dining room, sauna, hot tub, games/puzzles, and a sledding hill.
Sunday River Downhill Ski area - 1/4 mile away.
Bethel (10 minute drive) has 70 buildings on the Registry of National Historic Buildings.
