Trails: The University of Maine at Orono has 20 km (12 miles) of multi-use trails that are groomed for cross-country skiing. There are lots of single track and skating lanes. The trails are mainly rated intermediate and easy. The center host the Black Bear XC Ski race in February.

Location of trails: The University of Maine at Orono is about 15 miles north of Bangor. From the I-95 take Exit 193 at Stillwater Ave, turn right and continue approx 1 mile to College Ave (KFC and McDonalds on corner), then go approx 0.5 mile and turn left into University Park Road. Parking is along the road at the turn. Trails can be accessed right there.
