Name of XC Area: Boyne Highlands
Times that I have skied there: Once
I last skied there in: Feb, 2005
Trails that I skied: Green Loop and Blue Loop
My favorite trails:
Trail marking: Very good
Trail grooming: Very good
Rating: 4 stars
What I liked: Great scenery at the base of downhill ski resort. Trails laid out along golf course that is heavily wooded. Very gentle terrain except for one long hill near the "brush pile". Not not ski the upper trails that appeareded to be more wooded and hilly.
What I disliked: Very nice, but not a lot of imagination in layout -- series of back and forths along a golf course. Not exactly "in-the-woods" but just to the side.
Comments: Can eat in the cafeteria at the Day Skiers Lodge. But why eat there, when Harbor Springs is about 5 miles away? Port-a-potties at X-C Center and indoor bathrooms at Lodge.
