Hanson Hills Recreation Area

Trails: At Hanson Hills Recreation Area 20 km (12 miles) of trails are groomed by snowcat for cross-country skiing, for both skate and classic. Four stacked loops range in length from 4 to 15 km. There's also a 1 km loop that allows dogs. The non-profit volunteer-operated center hosts the Hanson Hills Classic in February (6 and 12 km races).

Location of trails: Hanson Hills Recreation Area is about 3 miles west of Grayling. Take M-72/93 west then follow M-93 south for 1/2 mile to Old Lake Road on the south side of the highway.
